Hey! I can receive mail but I can't send out! I think it is because there is nothing written in my account info( I mean incoming mail sever and outgoing mail server ) so I want to know how do I write it and where is it?

Hi,

Mail App > Preferences > Accounts.

The individual Accounts you have should list the incoming sever (normally will have either POP or IMAP in the name)

The Advanced tab should show the server ports that should be used and whether SSL is used.

IF you go back to the Account info tab then the Outgoing Mail Server should list something.

It is also a Drop down with an option to Edit the list.

There is another set of info tabs to set ports and server names if required.

I have had the same problem for last 5 years, I complained, but no help was provided to me. I wanted to reach Apple support system, with no luck. They would re-route me to pages like yours.

Please forward my message to Ralph, because I have no access to help through Apple directly. Which and by itself is a total nonsense. These are just a few advantages that Apple provided us with. No access to help.

Thank you in advance. I cannot even send a copy of this mail to Ralph.

You do get 90 Days Apple Care when you buy a new product, be it Hardware or Software.

Apple ID issues are free to fix any time.

You can call Apple Care at other times and arrange to pay for the assistance.

Mail in Sierra

You need to go to the Mail App in the Menu Bar and select Preferences that Accounts.

Choose the last tab (Server settings) in the pic above and then use the drop down and the Edit optionUser uploaded file

Alternatively some account will show the details they are using.

This account uses a different server for outgoing mail. (I originally did not pay for that service on my Web site)

You can select the Outgoing Account here and get to the same Edit option.

You need to enter the STMP server name

You need to enter the Port being used.

You need to mark if it is using SSL or TLS as a secure login.

In Yosemite some of these setting are in the Advanced tab.

In either case you will need to know the STMP server name of the service you use.

You will need to know the port.

You will need to know if they use SSL (Most do).
